Another Weekend Chock-Full of Excitment

Well, I've received another complaint from my millions of reader (no, that's not a typo, I think I only have one reader) that I haven't posted since Wednesday. There really isn't enough going on in my life to blog about; don't know why I ever started this silly thing. So - let's see...

Thursday: Work. Target. Pedicure. Survivor (won reward, lost immunity, voted off Spencer)
Friday: Work.
Saturday: Lunch with The Boy. Read. Knitted a little. Pizza.
Sunday: Lunch with The Kids. Watched first episode of Legend of the Seeker. Will finish off pizza later.

How can I stand all this excitement, you ask? I can't - that's why I sit. HAHAHAHA.

Another Wednesday

In order to prevent any smart-alecky messages being sent to me at Ravelry, I am updating my blog. I know this won't prevent the messages, and will probably guarantee that I receive at least one ... but here goes anyway.

Important thing that I should have remembered yesterday: J left for Canada today. Did I remember and call last night? No. Did I remember and call this morning? No. I remembered this afternoon when it was too late to call. Sent Dad an emailed apology while I was thinking about it.

I was almost the recipient of a little white car today. I was stopped at a red light, and I heard a short, sharp squeal. Looked into the rear view mirror in time to see a bunch of blue smoke behind me, and a little white car just barely missing Henry's back bumper as it (the white car) swerved into the other lane. Fortunately, it missed us.

And that was my day. Oh, and I got crispy honey chicken from Pick Up Stix for dinner.

Tuesday and Tacos

Had a bit of a rough start to the morning. Took a couple of Nyquil capsules last night around 8:00 or so. Had trouble falling asleep, but then had trouble waking up this morning. Dark and gloomy drive to work. Frustrating morning pulling back-up paperwork for the check run. Lunch was good, had fun talking with AZ at lunch. This afternoon seemed to go ok, nothing exciting.

Wandered around Borders for a little bit, then went to Barnes & Noble. Sat in the "cafe" area and had an iced-tea. Met The Kids for tacos (they were awesomely yummy but a bit messy). Humph, just go interrupted by a phone call from Sis. First she complains that I don't update my blog, and then she prevents me from updating. Some people. LOL!

Anyway, that's it for now.

Saturday

As you can tell, it has been another eventful week in the life of Me. The Boy has been sick all week, so we didn't go to Taco Tuesday. Survivor was awesome ... and even though my tribe lost immunity - they did the smart thing and got rid of annoying Sandy. Sis now owes $1.50 and I owe $1.00. I think. I'd better start my spreadsheet to keep track of things....

Borrowed a movie from one of the ladies at work - "Taken". It was really good. A bit more violent than what I would normally enjoy, but it fit the story so I was ok with it. I also have "Gran Torino" and "Pride and Glory" but I'm not sure I'll watch either of them. I'll check 'em out on imdb first.

The Boy has to work today (and tomorrow, too) so The Girl and I are going to meet for breakfast (probably around 11:00 or so) and then spend the day watching movies. Maybe an HP marathon? One of the cable channels is showing the movies this weekend ... saw the end of "Sorcerer's Stone" last night. It was weird - The Kids have a different tv provider than I do, and the movie was just starting for her when it ended for me. But it was on the same network, so it should have been on at the same time. Shouldn't it? No biggie - since I have it on dvd I can watch it whenever I want.

Anyway, that's my update.

Sigh

So, I have my leftover green yarn and a really cute, easy hat pattern. This yarn screamed to become this hat for me. Now, I don't wear hats, but I want this one. Based on the number of stitches I have knit so far, I've made three hats. Wanna see a picture of it? Here ya go ...

Cute, isn't it? I have started and frogged and restarted and refrogged and used lifelines and gave up. Not permanently, but I've given up for now. I'm not happy.
