And actually, quite a bit has been going on. We've had another wave of layoffs at work; down to about 14 of us left. That, of course, includes the 6 sales people who will be keeping their jobs. Although, Marilyn just told us that her husband is taking a job in AZ, so she'll be leaving the company in a couple months (once they sell the house). A lot of the furniture has been taken out of the unused offices, so things are looking very sad.
We took the kids to dinner at Red Lobster on Tuesday (C's birthday) to celebrate ... of course, it was for P's birthday, too. A and T joined us, too. It was really good to see them, haven't seen them in quite a while. They're doing well, and have been looking for a house to buy. It's a big step, and they're excited about it. Going to have to take P for dinner at Whole Enchilada since she doesn't really care for RL.
S and R have a new "daughter". She's about 3 years old, named Zoe, and is supposed to be a Shepherd mix, although she doesn't really look very Shepherd-ish. They adopted her from PetSmart on Friday, so they've been spending the weekend getting her acclimated to her new family. The GGs seem to have taken to her, but Smudge and Hoover are still standoffish. Of course, you can't expect cats to just accept a new dog!
Had dinner last night with Duh & F. Went to Applebee's; it was pretty good. Then, today, I went to a Tupperware party with Duh. Yes, a Tupperware party. It's been years since I've been to one. Had a pretty good time. Ordered a new colander-it's on special this month and comes with a cutting board. Duh's going to have a party in the next couple of weeks, so I can get a few more things.
Anyway, I'm going to end for now ... Buster wants out again.
