Knew I Wouldn't Keep This Up

Ok, it's been too long since my last post, but there really hasn't been anything of note to write about. Work is getting to be very depressing. Most of the machines are gone; I barely have enough work to keep my morning full, let alone the afternoon; and this week is the end for most of the people that are left. As I say, very depressing.

Going out to Yucca Valley on Saturday for J and D's wedding. Will finally get to meet her! T is down for the wedding, too, and spent the day at CBS with F. He'll be here all week, although I probably won't see him until Saturday.

Not really much going on ... but figured I should post something anyway!

Slow Week

Didn't really do much this week; went to work (not that there is much to do there anymore). Watched Survivor (OF COURSE!). Went to dinner last night with the "kids". Had a blast showing off my new Xterra - everyone seems to like him! I am really surprised at how right it feels to be driving the SUV, when' I've always been a small-car kinda girl. But Henry seems to fit "just right" as the saying goes ...

The Wait Is Over!

We picked up my new Xterra last night!! He is wonderful - I love driving him!! Going out to S and R's later so they can meet Henry. Might stop by Dad & J's too. Henry looks so handsome sitting out in my driveway!

No Car Yet

A bit disappointed today. Was going to go buy my new Xterra tonight but Fd had to work late. In fact, he still isn't home. Guess I can wait until tomorrow, but I was looking forward to having the car today. Oh well.

On the upside, I get to watch Survivor in a few minutes! (instead of taping it to watch later, or watching it online). And I'll be able to discuss the show with S during the commercials (as usual). Which reminds me, I have to remember to have C show me how to download my ringtone to the new phone!

Good Start to the Week

Got my new phone yesterday, and I love it! It has a lot of features I'll have to figure out, but it doesn't seem too complicated so far.

Then, I went on a really good job interview today. Totally unexpected; he called me at work at about 4:25 and we talked for a few minutes. He asked if I could come in after work for an interview, and I said ok. He seemed to be really impressed with my resume. Seems like a very laid-back atmosphere (the boss was in shorts and tennies) and could be a fun place to work. About the only thing that didn't sound good is that there is no eating allowed at the desks. Only allowed to have water; not even coffee. Of course, that would probably be a good thing for me ....

Anyway, he said he'd like to offer me a job and for me to call him as soon as I have a confirmed "exit date" from Boyd; he'll find something for me! Even if I don't take a job there, it was sure a "mood-lifting" interview!

More Car Hunting

Actually test drove a few today, the Rav4, the Highlander, the Equinox and the Xterra. We've decided on the Xterra --we are now waiting on some price quotes from a couple of different dealers. Hopefully we'll hear something tomorrow, and F will be able to get off work early enough so we can go pick one up. I'm really ready for my new car. It's been long enough!

Watched "Eragon" tonight. It was pretty good; a lot like the Dragonriders of Pern in some ways, although the storyline itself is different. Hadn't realized how similar it was while reading the book, but it is similar enough that they probably can't make a movie about Pern. But, it was a decent movie and it was nice to sit and watch it while we had dinner.
