Horrible Yarn

So, I read online (and I think Sis may have mentioned it) about knitting small blankets for rescue animals. Just a little cuddly something that the can sleep on, and take with them to their new home when they are adopted. Sounded like it would be something nice to do. Went to the store today, and bought some yarn. I wanted something inexpensive and washable. Bought a pretty blue yarn and have started knitting it up. I DO NOT like this yarn. I know, it's what I get for buying inexpensive. And I know not to buy this brand. Don't know where my brain was when I bought it. I'm going to go ahead and finish the blanket (I think) and see how it turns out. I'm doing it in seed stitch, with a 4 stitch knit border. Hopefully it'll turn out better than I think it is going to. It would probably help if the needles were a bit longer. They are 9", and I think the blanket is going to be between 12" and 14". Real good planning on my part, huh?

I also bought the fiberfill for the Scottie. Guess that means I'd better knit up the soles and then sew him together.

Sounds like it's raining. I did get a few drops on the windshield on the way home from dinner. I hope it rains heavy enough that I end up with a clean car, and not a mud-mobile.

I'll end tonight with the newest picture of my "traveling garden". The plant has been moved from the bedroom windowsill to the living room windowsill, so I can enjoy it more. After all, I spend a lot more "awake" time in the living room than I do the bedroom.
