Unhappy Kitty
Update: apparently the cat was out all night. F had the front door open for a while before going to bed. Guess he forgot that Little Thing can get out underneath the screen! Poor kitty.

Fei Long (Flying Dragon)
<----- Fei Long Survivor China started tonight, and got off to a mighty fine start if I do say so. "My" tribe, Fei Long, won the first challenge which gave them immunity and fire. I haven't decided for sure if I want to stick with my first choice (Jean-Robert - #4) or switch to someone else on the team. S has chosen Sherea (#6, below), although I don't know if she'll stick with her choice, either. S would actually like to have one of the guys on my tribe, but I'm not trading!
Zhan Hu ----------------------------------------------->
First one voted off the Zhan Hu (Fighting Tiger) tribe is "Chicken" (Steve Morris - #8).
So - the fund is now at: S = $0.50 Me= $0

Arrrr!
And One More is Three
Gonna meet C for brunch in a bit. He's working late today (which I am sure he is just overjoyed about - NOT!) Better than yesterday; he went in at regular time, and when he was already into overtime was told he'd be the late. He really hates that ... and I can't blame him. Especially since he hasn't been feeling well this week.

That's Two ...
Wow - just got a call from an agency I spoke with a while back; I have a phone interview with a potential employer set up for 2:30 tomorrow afternoon! I think this is the one where the company is in Irwindale, and I'll need to join the Teamsters Union ... hope they don't expect me to drive a big truck! :-)

Pop-u-lar ... I'm Gonna Be Pop-u-u-lar!!
So, I'm here at home, emailing with S. Complained that I'm feeling unloved because nobody has called regarding my resume all afternoon. While I was sending that email, I received an email from someone at another agency, wanting me to call! I'm on a roll! Now - to find the perfect job .....
Another Week Goes By
Let's see. What did the past week include. Just a lot of the same old-same old! I applied for a few jobs, didn't go on any interviews, did some shopping. Bought a new microwave and microwave cart at Target. F didn't like the micro, said it was too small (it was .7 cubic foot). I had gone for inexpensive. Went last night and returned it; ended up getting a 1.4 cubic foot microwave at Wal-Mart instead. Gonna try it out this morning by reheating my coffee. I know, I know - I'm a wild woman.
Spent Friday afternoon with Sh and Duh. Just went over to drop off the carpet cleaner, but ended up staying to talk all afternoon. It was nice; the babysitting kids napped for quite a bit of the time and were well behaved and quiet when they were awake. There's a new baby (9 weeks old!) so I got to have a nice little cuddle ....
Yesterday, S and I went to a craftie fair in Long Beach. Had a nice time, even though most of the crafts haven't changed in the last few years. Ended up buying some soup mixes. I know, there's that wild woman again!
Anyway, those are the highlights of my week. Sheesh, I need to get a life! :-)

The Past Weekend
Had breakfast with Duh on Sunday, and a trip to Borders. Bought 4 books. I got the Beck Weathers book "Left For Dead" about the disastrous Mt Everest expedition in 1996. Just finished rereading "Into Thin Air" (Jon Krakauer's book) on Saturday, so I decided to pick up this one. Almost bought the one by Anatoli Boukreev, too, but if I remember correctly I didn't really enjoy that one. I find it such a fascinating subject, though, I may end up going back for the book. Or maybe I'll just check it out of the library again. Don't know that I'm excited about the mountain itself so much, but that particular expedition interests me. And that people continue to climb it, even knowing how dangerous it can be!
Then, yesterday, P and I drove out and took T to lunch so they could get to know each other a little bit better. It was another nice visit, lots of talking and laughing. I think they got along ok; seemed like it, anyway! Stayed talking later than we had intended, so we found a little bit of traffic on the way home, although not nearly as much as I had expected at that time. Met C at The Whole Enchilada for some happy hour tacos in the bar and then home. It was a long day, with a lot of driving for me. I was pretty tired when I got home. Tried to wait up for F but ended up going to bed about 10:00. He got home right after that, so I did actually get to talk to him a little. He brought a nice "styro" for Buster. Buster, of course, was ecstatic.
